TGIF!! It’s time to go Racin’ in San Diego!!!

It’s TGIF for REAL!! Moto-X Style!! (10:45am PST) SMO is live and kickin’ out the info from Qualcomm! The “invitees” are just finishing their second practice session and the “LCQ” riders….(the non invitees that will be racing today for the 12 spots on the grid tomorrow) ran a timed session just before that with Johnny Lewis fastest followed by Jason Conlon and Vince Guisande Jr. I have some cool shots that should be loaded up in the next little bit from the practices…

Got to the track/stadium yesterday and touched bases with the riders, checked out the track and took a few shots that are  a little photo gallery right here.  Brandon Currie was psyched and ready for a LARGE paycheck after kickin’ ass at Stateline last week. Jason Conlon was ready to get back to it after practicin’ at Adams Kart Track on Tuesday and Willow Springs on Weds, Darryl Atkins said the badly broking wrist was feelin’ good, Ben Carlson was itchin’ to get back at it and feelin’ good. And speakin’ of broken wrists…..spoke with David Pingree who was lookin’ good with his new Azteq USA Honda and feeling 100% after his PAIR of broken wrists late last year. He noted the plethora of top guys in the 450 class but if he rides like he did on the 250 he’ll be just fine!

Chatted with Matt Burton who had a little concern over the short run-up to the last BIG double at the end of the Supermoto layout. He was feelin’ great after a very successful weekend at Stateline last Sat/Sunday. Matt cleaned up in the 250 race and is looking forward to a great year. Basically all the top players are more than ready to tear it up starting today!
